Setting up rGrade software on your institution's IT infrastructure is a snap since we use industry standard technologies. But the real work of an integrated assessment system is much more significant and involves a co-exploration of needs, existing data sources, and strategies for sustainability. This is where the university and K-12 experience of EI can help you translate your needs into a site-based solution for data-driven performance assessment. The best way to realize rGrade's potential is to engage EI's team of educators and developers in the process of learning about your performance assessment needs and translating them into a solution with rGrade.
The Assessment Partners Program (APP) program is designed to encourage institutions to examine rGrade’s potential over time and to co-explore with EI the institutional and professional changes that performance-based assessment brings to teaching and learning. EI will extend to rGrade’s early adopters in the APP program discounts on services and products for future deployments.
The APP program consists of the following:
- EI provides a 60-day trial account hosted on
rgrade.com for 20 instructors
- The institution agrees to at least three days of
consulting services with EI to meet with administrators,
faculty and IT staff
- EI works with the institution's faculty to develop
content (rubrics, programs, etc.) to be hosted and shared
in the institution's trial account
- The institution agrees to model at least one academic
program in rGrade for exploration with their faculty
- EI provides online support during the trial period
- EI develops a site deployment strategy for the rGrade
software with the institution's IT staff and
administrators
- APP partners gain access to collaboration and content sharing services with each other and EI professionals
Benefits of the APP program:
- Significant discounts on rGrade
licenses and related services upon formal adoption of the
rGrade platform
- A no-risk opportunity to “try
before you buy” not just the software, but the
unique solutions that rGrade can permit in a site
deployment
- Access to the EI professionals who
can help assess the IT and instructional needs and
opportunities on your campus, regardless of your adoption
of rGrade
- Customized assistance with development of instruments and curricular programs models for your institution.
The process of examination, configuration, deployment, and program modeling in rGrade on site takes two to eight months. The pace and scale of the deployment is defined by the institution. We encourage institutions to identify a core group of faculty and IT personnel to work with us during the APP program.
